Experimental drama at its best. See what happens with no rehearsal, no director, a different actor at each performance and a script waiting in a sealed envelope on the stage.

Each night a completely new adventure awaits – depending on how the author’s words compel each actor to perform. Internationally acclaimed White Rabbit Red Rabbit, by Iranian writer Nassim Soleimanpour, is a theatrical adventure embracing comedy and tragedy. An edge of your seat experience with some of Mockingbird Theatrics best talent, you don’t want to miss this exciting theatrical event.

Since its joint premiere in 2011 in Edinburgh and SummerWorks festival, White Rabbit Red Rabbit has been translated into more than 30 different languages and been performed over 3,000 times by some of the biggest names in theatre and film.

Under the Mockingbird Too banner, the following actors will bravely face the unknown – an unseen script and an awaiting audience:

Callum Doherty (Fully Committed, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, The Drawer Boy), Jayde Dowhy (When the Rain Stops Falling, The Wolves), Zoë Ross (currently at QUT and will be starring in Mockingbird’s first production of 2026) and Chris Baldock (The Judas Kiss, When The Rain Stops Falling and The Drawer Boy + Mockingbird’s founder and director)

This is Mockingbird’s major fundraising event of the year. If you love what we are doing, want to see us continue to thrive in our new home and are in a position to help, please consider donating whatever you can. Big or small, your donation will assist Mockingbird in getting the word of our shows out to Canberra, letting them know of the great theatre on their doorstep.

Please note: age guidance of 14+ is recommended.
